Valloween is the Cathouse answer to February: black lace, red bulbs, dead roses, monster crushes, broken-heart glamour, and affection with teeth.

Bring a date, a friend, a coven, a situationship, a grudge, or your fully self-contained little haunted heart. The house has room.

The Event

Valloween is our February event for dark romance, spooky sweetness, flirtation, camp, music, and strange little declarations made under suspicious lighting.

It is not a normal Valentine’s party. Nobody is required to be coupled, heartbroken, available, romantic, bitter, cute, or emotionally legible. You can be here for dancing, outfits, people-watching, spooky décor, candy, music, or the pleasure of watching Valentine’s Day get dragged through the hallway by its ankles.

What to Expect

Expect red and black, low light, themed visuals, haunted sweetheart décor, DJs, dance-floor moments, strange Valentine rituals, photo corners, and at least one person dressed like a widowed vampire who owns a very successful candle company.

The night can flirt, but it does not chase. The room works because people read the room, use words, and accept answers cleanly.

The house may produce love notes. It may produce bad advice. It may produce a candy heart that feels like a threat. Handle all of this responsibly.

Who It’s For

Valloween is for adults who like their February with more shadow.

It is for couples, singles, friends, polycules, goths, monsters, soft-hearted creeps, romance skeptics, horror fans, dancers, wallflowers, and anyone who thinks a black rose is still a rose.

New guests are welcome. Come dressed up, dressed down, glamorous, cursed, or comfortable. You do not need to perform romance to belong in the room.

House Rules

Flirting is not consent. Costumes are not consent. Chemistry is not consent. A cute moment is not consent. A shared joke is not consent.

Use words. Respect answers. Do not corner people. Do not treat the event theme as permission to intensify attention someone has not asked for.

This is a 21+ private, consent-forward, RACK-aware space. Boundaries are not obstacles. They are part of how the night stays possible.

Why It Matters

Because February is better when love gets a little haunted.

Valloween gives the house a reason to turn the red lights on, dress the shadows up, and remind everyone that connection works best when nobody has to disappear inside it.

Dress & Vibe

Goth Valentine, black-and-red, haunted prom, monster romance, broken-heart glamour, vampire date night, dark cabaret, spooky cute, lace, leather, velvet, or cursed candy-heart casual.

House Rule Spotlight

Flirting is not consent. Costumes are not consent. Chemistry is not consent. Use words.

Roses rot. Consent holds.

About Haunted Cathouse Events

The Haunted Cathouse is a 21+ private arts, music, kink-aware, and community space in an old Roxbury Victorian with too much history and several cats in the mythology. Our events are built around music, consent, weird culture, chosen family, and the belief that a good house party can still feel like a portal.

Core Event Standards

  • 21+ only
  • Consent is active, specific, and reversible
  • RACK-aware behavior expected
  • Respect the house, the hosts, the cats, the neighbors, and the room
  • Costumes, themes, flirtation, and play do not override boundaries
