Cuddlepalooza is how the Haunted Cathouse tells winter to sit down, take its boots off, and use its words.

This is our softest house gathering: blankets, low light, warm corners, gentle music, plush textures, and clear consent from the floorboards up. The old Victorian gets quiet in January, but not empty.

The Event

Cuddlepalooza is a 21+ winter decompression event built around comfort, consent, and low-pressure connection.

It is not a dating mixer. It is not a cuddle free-for-all. It is not a test of how extroverted you can pretend to be after the holidays.

It is a night for soft clothes, warm rooms, careful asks, easy conversation, and people giving each other enough space to land. Some guests cuddle. Some talk. Some curl up with tea or a drink and watch the room breathe. Some arrive in full pajama cryptid mode and say exactly four words all night. That counts.

What to Expect

Expect the house dressed down into winter mode: dim lights, soft seating, blankets, ambient visuals, strange little comfort rituals, and music that keeps the room alive without kicking the door in.

The energy is social, but not demanding. There may be cuddle zones, quiet corners, gentle activities, and small moments of house weirdness tucked around the night. The cats may or may not be physically present, but their judgment is implied.

Bring whatever helps you feel settled: cozy layers, fuzzy socks, a robe, a stuffed friend, a soft look, a dark look, a tired face, a clear boundary.

Who It’s For

Cuddlepalooza is for adults who want connection without performance.

It is for people who like soft spaces, intentional touch, body-neutral comfort, winter nesting, careful flirting, platonic closeness, chosen-family warmth, and being around other people without having to turn into a nightclub version of themselves.

Newcomers are welcome when they arrive respectfully. Dressing up is encouraged, not required. Participation is always optional. Sitting quietly and enjoying the room is not a lesser version of the event.

House Rules

Consent is the center of the night.

Ask before touching. Ask before joining a cuddle pile. Ask before leaning, petting, holding, photographing, interrupting, or assuming. Accept “no,” “not right now,” “I’m good,” and silence as answers that do not require negotiation.

Soft does not mean vague. Cozy does not mean careless. No pressure, no sulking, no entitlement, no hovering.

This is a 21+ private event space. RACK-aware behavior, respect for boundaries, and care for the house are required.

Why It Matters

Because winter isolates people. Because comfort is better when it is chosen clearly. Because the haunted house should have at least one night where the ghosts are encouraged to use the weighted blanket.

Cuddlepalooza starts the year by slowing the room down before everything gets loud again.

Dress & Vibe

Soft layers, pajamas, onesies, lounge looks, fuzzy textures, robes, slippers, winter goth, cozy cryptid, or whatever makes you feel comfortable and respectful in a shared space.

House Rule Spotlight

Ask first. Cuddle only with clear consent. No ambiguity. No entitlement. No sulking.

Cold outside. Warm inside. Ask first.
