St. Catrick’s Day is the Cathouse version of green-season chaos: luck, mischief, music, gold accents, suspicious blessings, and at least one imaginary cat saint silently judging the room from a high shelf.
The Event
St. Catrick’s Day is our March house holiday: a 21+ private event built around green light, bad luck turned sideways, music, social weirdness, and festive behavior that does not collapse into amateur-hour nonsense.
This is not a bar crawl. This is not a contest to see who can become the problem fastest. This is the Haunted Cathouse taking the useful parts of March — green, luck, mischief, noise, sparkle, folklore, nonsense — and leaving the sloppy parts outside.
What to Expect
Expect green-lit rooms, strange luck rituals, dancing, themed visuals, playful social energy, and outfits somewhere between glam goblin, alley cat, Celtic cryptid, punk leprechaun, black-and-green goth, and regular person who made one excellent accessory decision.
The night may include DJs, games, house blessings, cursed charm moments, photo corners, and the kind of controlled chaos that only works because people know how to behave.
Gold is encouraged. Claws are encouraged. Entitlement is not.
Who It’s For
St. Catrick’s Day is for adults who want a March party with more teeth and better rules.
It is for green goths, luck hoarders, dance-floor gremlins, cat people, costume people, social people, shy people with excellent eyeliner, and anyone who wants festive without being trapped in a sports bar next to someone yelling into a plastic hat.
Newcomers can land here easily if they respect the house and the room.
House Rules
Green means theme. It does not mean go.
Ask before touching. Ask before flirting harder. Ask before taking photos. Ask before drawing anyone into a bit, ritual, game, or joke.
No pressure to drink. No pressure to participate. No sloppy handling of other people’s boundaries. If the house has to explain this twice, the luck has left you.
Why It Matters
Because March needs a better ritual than pretending a crowded bar is a personality.
St. Catrick’s Day gives the Cathouse a reason to glow green, make its own luck, and let the cats of the mythos sharpen the edges of spring.
Dress & Vibe
Green goth, lucky cat, glam goblin, punk leprechaun, Celtic cryptid, alley-cat chaos, haunted pub, black-and-green, gold accents, claws, collars, stripes, or whatever says “the cat chose me.”
House Rule Spotlight
Green means theme. It does not mean permission.
The luck is fake. The boundaries are real.
About Haunted Cathouse Events
The Haunted Cathouse is a 21+ private arts, music, kink-aware, and community space in an old Roxbury Victorian with too much history and several cats in the mythology. Our events are built around music, consent, weird culture, chosen family, and the belief that a good house party can still feel like a portal.
Core Event Standards
- 21+ only
- Consent is active, specific, and reversible
- RACK-aware behavior expected
- Respect the house, the hosts, the cats, the neighbors, and the room
- Costumes, themes, flirtation, and play do not override boundaries
- Private-house energy: act like someone invited you into a real place, because they did
