Four-Twenty at the Haunted Cathouse is hazy, funny, music-heavy, deeply unserious when appropriate, and held together by the same rules that keep the house from turning into public access television after midnight.
The Event
Four-Twenty is our April event for music, comedy, social games, DJ sets, smoke-cloud mythology, strange characters, and the recurring Cathouse question: would you smoke with them?
It may feel like a house party. It may feel like a variety show. It may feel like someone found a cursed VHS tape labeled “educational programming” and decided to build a night around it.
It is still a 21+ private event with clear boundaries.
What to Expect
Expect bass, hip-hop, jungle, drum & bass, weird visuals, comedy bits, games, bingo-style chaos, and possible appearances from questionable fictional experts who should not be licensed to teach anything.
The room may get loose. The rules do not.
Nobody is pressured to consume anything. Nobody is required to join a bit. Nobody has to be “on.” The best version of the night comes from people laughing, dancing, relaxing, and not turning the theme into an excuse to become someone else’s chore.
RXM may appear. The Raveyard signal may leak. A cat may judge the entire premise and be correct.
Who It’s For
Four-Twenty is for adults who like music, strange comedy, hazy cultural rituals, couch goblin behavior, social weirdness, heavy bass, and jokes that take one second too long to become funny.
It is for people who want the night to be relaxed without becoming careless.
Come dressed in green, gold, smoky streetwear, haunted hoodie, glam burnout, ganja farmer cosplay, raveyard casual, or fake public-access host mode.
House Rules
Do not pressure anyone to smoke, drink, eat, take, share, join, explain, perform, or keep up.
Consent applies to substances, touch, photos, jokes, games, and proximity. A relaxed person is not an available person. A quiet person is not an invitation. A funny bit is still optional.
The house is 21+, private, RACK-aware, and boundary-forward.
Why It Matters
Because April deserves a ritual that is funny on purpose.
Four-Twenty lets the Cathouse get foggy, musical, absurd, and communal without losing the thread. The night works when people bring the strange and leave the careless at home.
Dress & Vibe
Green, gold, smoky streetwear, stoner horror, couch goblin, glam burnout, raveyard casual, ganja farmer, haunted hoodie, or fully committed fake public-access host.
House Rule Spotlight
Do not pressure anyone to consume anything. Do not assume participation. Respect the room.
Come weird. Stay respectful. Do not disappoint the cat.
About Haunted Cathouse Events
The Haunted Cathouse is a 21+ private arts, music, kink-aware, and community space in an old Roxbury Victorian with too much history and several cats in the mythology. Our events are built around music, consent, weird culture, chosen family, and the belief that a good house party can still feel like a portal.
Core Event Standards
- 21+ only
- Consent is active, specific, and reversible
- RACK-aware behavior expected
- Respect the house, the hosts, the cats, the neighbors, and the room
- Costumes, themes, flirtation, and play do not override boundaries
- Private-house energy: act like someone invited you into a real place, because they did
